Our last shot for this summer : Baler trip 2013 !. We were excited and we’re quite curious about the place, and the place was not as i thought, but still we had tons of fun, like our previous trips. I guess it’s a great blessing : )
- Day 1. May 27. 2013. – Monday.
So we woke up early ( at around 4 am ) to prepare for our baler trip ! woooh i can feel the excitement ! and who doesn’t ? most especially for us who loves to travel all around 🙂 LOL. Although the trip is long and we got lost many times along the way, we still had fun and the scenery was really spectacular, most especially when we reached the aurora province, where the huge mountains are located.
When we got to Baler, we had our lunch first at the rolling stores, a group of stalls along the way. There had been some BV moments because i found out through my friend that we might graduate in 2015. Ouch. But then i brushed those off and decided to enjoy the vacation and the scenery took my bad vibes and my breath away : )
We also went to ermita hill, and the view from the top was really great 🙂 you can see the whole baler bay and it was really relaxing there 🙂 After our sightseeing , we went to our inn and our rooms are nice and cozy too 🙂
Posing like a boss :p
We had an afternoon swimming in the beach, and i really enjoyed it because the last time i had a good swim in the sea was like, a year ago, and for me, a beach lover ( yeah ! ) it was 10 years for me. LOL. ( remember, i’m a mermaid in my past life ).
- Day 2 . May 28, 2013 . ( Tuesday )
This day was really hectic, and lots lots of fun ! We went to Caunayan falls, one of the well known falls there. We were about to go in another falls, however we chose caunayan since we won’t hike anymore to reach the falls. The travel was exciting because of the scenery and the dirt road we passed. When we reached the falls, it was spectacular more than i thought. 🙂
It was the first time i went to a falls without hiking and this is the best falls for me, since you can really have a good- no not good but the best swim here, unlike in other falls I’ve been to where sightseeing is the only thing you can do. It’s also the best place for me where you can relax because the water there was really cold, like that of an ice. woah . :O
After lunch time, we left caunayan falls and we headed to the beach where a pool is located. And the entrance fee ? Only 2o pesos. Wow. and the view from the pool is the beautiful baler bay. Perfect :))
After our swimming, we decided to have a picture taking in the scenery there 🙂 Postcard perfect 🙂
As if our swimming in the caunayan falls and in the pool is not enough, we had an afternoon swim back in the beach and the huge waves there adds the thrill in our swimming adventure 🙂
- May 29 2013 . Wednesday.
Our last day at baler, but that didn’t dampen our spirits. We woke up early and had a morning swim with the waves. And guess what ? I learned to surf, well, the basic surfing. LOL. I’ll surely miss the waves there !
After our morning swim, we prepared ourselves and packed our things before we leave. Oh, I will really miss baler !
Picture taking first :)) before we leave . Bye baler ! :((
We had our lunch at gerry’s buffet restaurant in the town and before we continued our way back home, we decided to buy some souvenir items 🙂
We also visited the Baler church and the house of Donya aurora quezon. Picture taking mode : ON.
The beautiful Baler church 🙂
@ Donya Aurora’s House.
My ” new ” car. LOL JK. Also @ Donya aurora’s 🙂 and tell you, vintage cars are really cool. xD
And last but not the least, our last stop for this day would be at the biggest tree here in the Philippines, located also here at aurora. Honestly, when i saw it, it was really amazing….and creepy. Just imagine you are turned into a tiny person and you’re standing next to a big balete tree. And we did something there that was, i thought impossible. Creepy mode : ON.
The biggest and widest here in the Philippines, the trunk of this Balete tree is as wide as a circle of 20 people :O OMG. And guess what else did we did there ? we entered its freaking roots ! which i thought a trunk. Whenever i saw a balete tree, ghosts or engkantos always comes in my mind so i don’t stand near a balete tree, but this time, i didn’t just stand near it, i went inside it !
Inside the roots of the Huge balete tree. Talk about creeepy :O
Despite its creepiness, i can’t help but stare in awe as we entered its roots. The balete tree is already 500 + years old and despite the huge storms that entered our country , the tree is still standing strong 🙂 Wow. It’s really a good thing i get to see for the first time the largest tree in our country 🙂
On our way back home, we stopped first at a bridge overlooking a beautiful lake in Nueva ecija .
This trip is truly unforgettable and I’m very thankful that God always makes our travel wonderful 🙂 Looking forward again next year, and i hope our adventure would be ” endless ” like this one. : )
