Welcome to forever : The catastrophic history of you and me book review.

And for the first time, I’m making a book review and reading this novel is one of the best moments I’ve had experienced – it will make you laugh, cry, and most of all, shocked because of the twists and turns that would happen in the story ! :)))

BRIE’S LIFE ENDS AT SIXTEEN: Her boyfriend tells her he doesn’t love her, and the news breaks her heart—literally.

But now that she’s D&G (dead and gone), Brie is about to discover that love is way more complicated than she ever imagined. Back in Half Moon Bay, her family has begun to unravel. Her best friend has been keeping a secret about Jacob, the boy she loved and lost—and the truth behind his shattering betrayal. And then there’s Patrick, Brie’s mysterious new guide and resident Lost Soul . . . who just might hold the key to her forever after.

With Patrick’s help, Brie will have to pass through the five stages of grief before she’s ready to move on. But how do you begin again, when your heart is still in pieces?

This book was suggested by my sister’s friend – and her friend already gave a warning to us that the story would be so, so much more than we are expecting and we must prepare a lot of tissue.O__O  Whoa. Because of that, I became more curious about the book and guess what, i received this book as a birthday gift ! ^.^ yaaaay !

What i like about the story is that although the plot is really heartbreaking, there are some parts that will make you laugh. ( Brie and patrick FTW : P ) Honestly, from the start when Brie describes her death, it brought me to tears T.T. I really feel sad for those people who die young. But then, i though this book was just all about a girl who is making her way to eternal life – I was wrong. The middle part up to the last part literally made me hold on to my seat because of the shocking happenings in the book – believe me, you will too when you read this novel !

I love how the five stages of grief is applied here – and how the main characters moved on from their catastrophic life here on earth. Most of all, this book tells us that everyone deserves a second chance – even if  you thought its too late.

Well, I’m thinking of a better ending for this book but now I’m satisfied with it since everything is resolved- and changed in the end. Overall, i gave this novel 4 out of 5 stars and for those who are fond of bittersweet plot lines and second chances, then this book is for you 🙂
