Life Lately (Oct – Nov 2017)

These past two months have brought some unforgettable memories : my tita and tito from Canada came to visit us after 3 years ; beach bonding with my family at batangas and my first ever slumber party.

#teamBatac Family Reunion.

Halloween at the beach @ Munting Buhangin, Batangas.

Actually, our beach outing was unplanned and we just decided it the day before. LOL πŸ˜€ We had breakfast at Mcdonalds Tagaytay first thing in the morning and we arrived at the resort around 8 AM.Β  We had a good stay there because aside from the calm and clear waters of the beach + good weather, there are only a few people in the resort.

My first ever slumber party !Β

Just this weekend, our #weDeserveBetter gang had our first slumber party in one of my friend’s house and its the best thing ever! we had korean themed dinner while watching Conjuring 2 (LOL) and watched What Happened To Monday before we slept. Good thing my friend’s guest room has its own bathroom + flat screen TV and Karaoke! We are planning our next slumber party next year, January 2018 for our 2nd anniversary.

I hope this coming Christmas Month would be unforgettable too and maybe a plot twist? in my life before 2017 ends.

Sept 29th

It’s been a year and a half since we started our secret clique, the ” We Deserve Better” gang. We went to Mall of Asia last Friday for our late birthday duties: A dinner treat from me and a dessert treat from my friend, Jam πŸ™‚

My Dinner Treat @Ramen Nagi

After dinner, we rode the MOA eye ferries wheel and their vikings πŸ™‚ We are like high school kids as we scream at the top of our lungs but who cares? And it’s been a long time since I’ve rode that ride, the last time was 2012? i think and I’m with my HS clique, the melamanrene.

We had a dessert at Icebergs Restaurant and we had a long chit chat of my life in the past two months. It was quite ironic since we are having a sweet dessert while telling them the most bitter part of my 2017 life.

Mango and Vanilla Dessert Treat

Little did i know that they also had a hard time in their corporate life most especially my friend Jam. Our story are quite similar because she doesn’t love her previous job. I thought that maybe God let these happen to us to make us realize how difficult it is to do something you don’t love and losing a job. I decided that I will pursue what I really wanted in my career life : graphic designing.

They were shocked when they learned my experience and they can’t believe how i manged to survive that. I almost cried while I’m telling my story and I felt relieved that despite of all those things that I’ve done, they understood me. I’m so lucky to be their friend πŸ™‚

We are planning again on an overnight holiday in Tagaytay this November + summer travel next year. Hope these will all happen. πŸ™‚

My first Holy Week at Ilocos Norte

Despite the fear of traffic which usually happens during the holidays, we still traveled to Ilocos Norte last holy week and I’m so glad that we did it πŸ™‚

  • April 13- Maundy Thursday.

After a 12- hour travel from South, we headed to a river resort somewhere in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte.

  • April 14 – Good Friday.

We did the traditional station of the cross at St. Monica Church in Ilocos, Norte and the church is one of the best churches I’ve ever seen.

Pastel-colored clouds

We also witnessed the traditional ‘ prusisyon’ of the saints and the statue of Christ in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

  • April 15- Black Saturday.

We went to Saud Beach Resort in Pagudpud and even with a huge crowd, it didn’t destroy the beauty of the place.

I still can’t help but stare in awe of the beautiful sunset in Saud- it was magical.

Till next time, Ilocos πŸ™‚

Christmas and New Year 2016

This holiday is probably one of the best moments of my life as I’ve got to spend it with my family + my tita and grandmother and finally, after 3 long years, with my cousins! πŸ™‚

Dec 24-27: Christmas Holiday

I’m so thankful that I’ve always got to spend every Christmas with my family πŸ™‚ Tita and Mamang also came again to celebrate with us and although a simple celebration in the house, it was a memorable one.

We had Β a karaoke party last Dec 24, went to Evia for a Christmas dinner and also at Tagaytay last Dec 27 . Those 4 days really made me feel complete and blessed, Christmas is indeed the most wonderful time of the year πŸ™‚

Dec 30-Jan 2: New Year Holiday:

After 3 long years, our cousins are celebrating the New Year with us and our house again is full of happy guests! with 12 people in our house, welcoming the new year has never been so much fun πŸ™‚

Dec 30- A day at Enchanted Kingdom.

This day is memorable and also a history- its our first time to go to EK without our parents! We rode all the extreme rides and our youngest cousin finally get to ride her nightmare- Space Shuttle. It’s really more fun without ‘parental guidance’. LOL but we’re old anyway, so its reasonable πŸ˜€

Dec 31: New Year’s Eve

This is really one special New Year’s Eve- we had lots of food, a karaoke party(again), some fireworks and parlor games! It’s so much fun when our cousins are around, I’ve felt like a kid again after joining the parlor games πŸ˜€ What a good way to welcome 2017!

Jan 1: First day of 2017!

We had a last mini get together with my cousins before they leave the next day. We ate pizzas at Greenwich Star Mall and had a frappe after. It was simple, yet we had tons of fun (the “farting incident” LOOL) and I’ll surely miss them.

I’m really glad the God made my wish come true- to end 2016 with a good note and welcomed 2017 with a bang! Despite all the heartaches last 2016, I’m getting more hopeful this 2017 πŸ™‚ More holidays like this in the coming years!

Happy New Year everyone!

Nov 26-27 2016

We just celebrated my mom’s 50th birthday at Tagaytay, and since it’s a golden year celebration, why not celebrate it in a wonderful way in an awesome place?

@ Crosswinds, Tagaytay

My mom, which is the ‘travel guru and planner’ of our family happened to saw this at Airbnb, decided to spend her birthday in this cool place right away. We stayed at Grand Quartier 2 condotel and it was like we’re in a European holiday πŸ™‚

Our room also fit the Swiss style setting πŸ™‚ #perfectweekend

We did a little tour around the place and I love how they maintained the whole area I mean the place is so full of pine trees( better than Baguio, the “city of pines”) and the Swiss inspired houses and structures, I love it! πŸ™‚

They even have a ‘ Christmas store’ and a ‘Santa’s house’ for kids! We didn’t go inside because of the ” for kids only” sign (LOL) but I bet its full of toys and chocolates.

adorable Santa’s house for kids! (only)Β

  • Nov 27 – Mom’s Birthday !

We woke up early to greet and surprise mama! πŸ™‚ lol our surprise was kinda fail since the night earlier, we tried sooo hard to hide our gift and card and i think she caught us but just wouldn’t tell us :DD probably because she doesn’t want to spoil the fun. Anyways she was happy with our gift and our DIY card!

our DIY card ❀ made with love.

It was a foggy morning and at first I thought it would be bring rain but no πŸ™‚ I’ll miss this kind of mornings.

We took a quick breakfast and we went around the place again, this time with our car. We decided to look for some picture perfect spots and guess what, its not difficult to find a good one!

Β The pine trees around makes me feel that I’m in Baguio again, just without the pollution. Everything was just fresh and green.

cute coffee shop at Crosswinds

It was really fun staying here at Crosswinds and i think it’s a wonderful way to celebrate my mom’s 50th golden birthday and like her birthday, it was a golden experience. πŸ™‚
